Herbs for Female Problems
There are many herbs which work wonderfully for correcting female hormone imbalances. When women and young girls have hormonal imbalances in their bodies, it can cause severe menstrual cramps, plus heavy menstrual blood flow too. Sometimes the menstruation period lasts longer than normal, and often other seemingly unrelated problems are happening in the body too such as severe acne break outs.
Here are several herbs which work particularly well for various female specific problems:
Red Raspberry - This herb is often used as the basic foundation for any herbal remedies and mixtures designed to help treat common female problems. Raspberry helps strengthen the walls of the uterus and the rest of the female reproductive system. It also helps decrease heavy menstrual flows and can help prevent or reduce hemorrhaging during labor. It works well to help decrease morning sickness during pregnancy too, and can increase nursing mother's milk.
Blessed Thistle - This is another herb commonly used to help correct female problems. It also enriches and increases milk in nursing mothers, and helps balance female hormones.
Lobelia - This is a relaxant herb which works very quickly to soothe muscle spasms, so it can be quite helpful for painful menstrual cramps. Lobelia oil can be rubbed onto the body on the outside, or put a few drops on the tongue for quick absorption.
Capsicum - Also known as Cayenne, this is an excellent herb that's used for a variety of things. In this case however, it helps regulate the flow of blood, which can be helpful for women who have problems with very heavy periods. It's also quite nutritious, which helps with replacing nutrients potentially lost with heavy blood flow.
Ginger - This herb is an excellent herb to use for menstrual cramps.
Chlorophyll - This is another excellent herb that works quite well as an all around daily vitamin. It helps increase iron in nursing mother's milk though, and it helps control and regulate calcium levels in the blood. Women can lose up to 40% more calcium through menstrual blood, so this herb helps control that loss of calcium.
