The Food and Drug Administration is urging the manufacturers of these drugs, which includes Prozac and Zoloft, to expand the warning labels to indicate this. The labels already carry similar warnings to alert parents of children and adolescents who must take these drugs.

If there?s one fact that everyone can agree on ? patient and health care practitioner alike ? is that far too often it?s undertreated or not treated at all.
That comment is borne out by a recent survey conducted by the American Pain Society. It discovered that only 55 percent of all patients with noncancerous pain were being treated well enough that it could be called ?under control.?
Less than 40 percent of those interviewed who indicated they had severe pain said their pain was under control. In fact, chronic pain is the second most common reason why people seek medical care. The top reason, by the way, is respiratory infections.

If you went to college and lived in a dormitory, your mother undoubtedly made you pack a pair of sandals for your use in the communal shower.

Oh, she may never have called the infection by name, but rest assured, she was doing her best to protect you from athlete?s foot. It?s a common fungal infection that spreads easily in public places, especially in public showers, lock rooms and fitness centers.

Over-the-counter remedies — normally referred to as NSAIDs ? nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs ? ease the pain for brief periods. Realistically, the sheer quantities needed of these to quell pain for a single day ? let along weeks or months at a time ? make them dangerous. There are two serious adverse side affects: the danger of stomach bleeding and with some of the very real chance of damaging your liver.

Far too often, individuals with acne use products that not only strip the oil from the skin, but in the process leave your skin far too dry. Usually the result of these mass marketed products is irritation to the skin that produces red blotches. Some individuals even find that they break out in a rash because of these products.

Vaginal yeast infections are a problem for all women. In fact, at least 75% of women will experience at least one vaginal yeast infection during their life time. Now there are many ways to help prevent yeast infections from recurring often, and there are various home and herbal remedies which can help cure yeast infections once you have them. In this article we’ll explore both.

Vaginal yeast infections can be caused by a number of things. The most common cause is the use of broad spectrum antibiotics, because these kill the good bacteria in our bodies along with the bad. An allergy to latex condoms can also cause vaginal yeast infections though, and a spermicide often used in condoms known as nonoxynol 9 has also been linked to increased vaginal yeast infections.
