When most people hear the term “yeast infection”, they automatically assume you’re referring to a vaginal yeast infection in women. This is often true, but not always. In fact, yeast infections can develop almost anywhere on the body, and they can occur in men, women, and children.
Genital yeast infections are the most common type however, and in most cases these infections are vaginal. Men don’t often realize that they can also get yeast infections on their penis however, and this is often gotten through sexual intercourse with women who have vaginal yeast infections.
